As World Monuments Fund (WMF) comes close to reaching its fundraising target of £10 million, with only £99,500 left to be raised, the Stowe House Preservation Trust (SHPT) launches an appeal for the public’s assistance in finding out what happened to the lost treasures of Stowe. It is over 150 years since Stowe House, the magnificent Grade I listed Neoclassical palace set in 400 acres of landscaped park in Buckinghamshire, was stripped of its contents. |

Tickets for the House can be purchased either at the National Trust Visitor Centre or at the House on the day. |
Guided Tours: |
The tour takes place every day that the House is open to the public and covers different aspects of the history of the family and the House. There is no extra charge for the tours and no booking is required. |

Accessibility: |
Stowe House welcomes visitors with disabilities. Although the House is fully accessible it is advised you are accompanied by an able-bodied carer. |
Parking: |
Visitors are requested to park in the National Trust car park at New Inn. The walk to the House is approx. 20 minutes. If you need to be closer to the House entrance for access reasons, there is limited parking in the Stowe School car park which is signposted as you drive in front of the House. |
